Summer in the high country!
From late June to late August, Cutthroat Trout from Yellowstone Lake run up the Yellowstone River and Thorofare Creek to spawn. This makes for some of the best fishing to be found anywhere. These fish range in size from 16" to 22". Since the only way to reach these streams is by horseback, there is not the shoulder to shoulder competition found on other streams. The biggest competition you'll likely face is from the numerous Bald and Golden Eagles that share the wilderness with you.

Our trips are normally from three to ten days in length. You will arrive in Cody, Wyoming where you will be met by a representative of Hidden Creek Outfitters. Transportation is provided from the Cody Airport to the hotel of your choice. Early the next morning you will be picked up for the beautiful drive to our trailhead and start your adventure in to the wilderness. After the trip, transportation is provided back to the lodge or hotel and then to the airport. Included in the trip is all transportation, once you reach Cody, horses, guides, food and camping equipment. Not included is your airfare to Cody, your personal gear, sleeping bag, fishing tackle, license and your lodging before and after your trip.
You can look forward to homemade meals and desserts expertly prepared over a crackling campfire. Menus include breakfasts of fresh biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs with bacon or ham, with lunch of soups, sandwiches and salads served streamside. Evening meals are hearty portions of steaks, chops etc. and of course your freshly caught trout. Special dietary requests can be addressed if discussed in advance, so don't hesitate to let us know your wishes. Sleeping accommodations are comfortable dome type tents, foam mattresses are also provided for your comfort. And yes, a portable shower tent is set up for your relaxing shower.

Successful families are taking time to do things together and there is no better way to establish closeness than an adventure into the wilderness. Give your loved ones the memory of a lifetime by taking them on one of our summer, fishing, pack trips. Its an experience where there is something for everyone's interest. You have our word that it will be a vacation that will live in the hearts of all who participate. The fun is only limited by your imagination.  You will marvel at the scenery and rave to your friends back home about riding easy going horses on top of the world.  Our trips take place in the Teton Wilderness of the Bridger Teton National Forest and the Washakie Wilderness of the Shoshone National Forest just outside of Yellowstone National Park. These trips have enough varied activities to accommodate everyone's desires. Many people like to explore and hike in wilderness places where no sign of present day man exists.  If you search carefully, you may find arrowheads left by a hunting party of yesteryear. It's common to discover fossils, petrified wood and other interesting rock formations.
